SRINAGAR MARCH 26:About half a dozen vehicles were seized and many shopkeepers were booked for voilating the lockdown order by the Police Post Mirgund here at Singhpora Pattan.

As many shops were seen functional on the inner link roads of Singhpora area, leading to mass gathering, the police came into action and lodged the FIRs against the voilaters. Some vehicles moving unnecessary were also seized while plying on the national highway thus voilating the order.

“We are ensuring that proper protocol is followed and continuously requesting people to stay indoors and avoid mass gatherings”, said D.O Police Post Mirgund Mr Mohd Ashraf Mir

The officer furthur said, ” we have lodged FIRs against the voilaters and request everyone to follow the order otherwise strict actions will be taken.

It is pertinent to mention here that All paramilitary forces also assisting the J&K Police in ensuring the lockdown and in addition the forces are working together to take other necessary steps also against the severe disease.COVID-19
