While Kashmir recorded first death due to the deadly COVID-19, SNS Kashmir did a reality check as how some social media miscreants and irresponsible doctors attributed misinformation and speculations with the death of a religious preacher (Daie) from the Hyderpora Srinagar original resident of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The slain pious religious scholar traveled to Malaysia, Indonesia and hid his travel history to doctors- a blunt lie.
According to a family members and medical record available, slain religious preacher didn’t hide his travel history as he has told his doctors from day one that he had been to Andaman and Nickobar in February, visited Delhi, UP, Jammu, Samba, Srinagar and Sopore but doctors couldn’t diagnose him for Covid-19 saying he has no foreign travel history. From SKIMS Bemina to Soura and some private doctors, no one told him to get Cornovirus test done and treated him as normal chest disease patient. As per family inmates, he had not travelled to Malaysia, Indonesia or any other foreign country as his passport is the testimony.

How irresponsibledoctors, to hide their sheer negligence, made identity, medical records and travel history of the patient public and audio clip viral on social media.
Adding insult to injury, the family inmate said, “You see the irresponsible and negligent doctors at SKIMS Bemina who revealed identity, medical records and CT scan of the patient which is against medical ethics.” He added that a senior resident also recorded an audio clip and circulated it on social media across globe besides uploaded CT scan on twitter just to hide their negligence as they failed to diagnose and didn’t suggest the patient a test for COVID -19. The doctor can be seen calling the patient Tabligi which is appalling. Even if a patient is suffering from AIDS, doctor can’t make his details public it is totally against medical ethics. We are highly grateful to the government which has ordered an inquiry into the matter to find the negligence of doctors.

Is getting infected a sin? Anybody can get infected with virus unintentionally as several celebrities, even doctors, paramedics and princes got affected across world. Why to curse and criticize an infected noble soul of Sopore?
The slain religious preacher was a rich businessman who left everything to bring people close to their creator Allah. He would spend months in preaching Islam and would never invite such a trouble to family and his fellow preachers, had doctors told him to get quarantined or test done early things would be have not been so worst. But unfortunately, people start blaming the religious organization Tabligi Jammat which is disgusting. Why he would put family members, doctors and other people in such risk, asked a family doctor who happens to be an orthopedic surgeon.
Social Media ridiculous remarks, mudsling hurt family and associates!!

While are we are mourning his death but what hurts us more is sarcastic and ridiculous comments cursing the pious man and his religious association. This is indeed disgusting ans shows how we behave on social media without bothering about what the family and relatives would be going through at this crucial juncture.
How neitizens who know the slain responded on social Media….
“May Allah grant u highest place in heaven AMEEN, Haji Mohammad Ashraf Anim ,covid 19 victim,, from sopore,, attained martyrdom…..Ur imprints will be remembered highly nd ur very dedication towards Islam,,, what a pious soul,,, how soft minded nd very kind,,, He kicked his wealth as we can say,, was a landlord, nd famous businessman, but how very hard towards spreading Islam,, Magfirat,, will miss u,,,” Sajad Lone writes on his FB wall.
Visionary scholar who believes in unity….
Another associate of slain religious preacher wrote on fb wall . “The man who transformed the Tabligh from a sectarian group to the work of Ummah. A great noble soul and humble administrator. I have been very closely associated with him. I remember his advice some 6 years back. He always speaks truth, forbade evil and haram .
“A Muslim he may be from any school of thought or sect. Our work is to get him connected to masjid . Anyone can have difference with us that do not make him lesser Muslim.”
Great visionary had a sharp eye on world developments trade wars power apparatus .
Thanx ashraf sb for all that u have given us. May allah grant u the highest place in jannah .
