Voluntarily Disclose Travel History otherwise Face Legal Action, Warned Dr Itoo

BARAMULLA, MARCH 29: In a significant move to ensure that the people may not suffer due to lack of essential commodities in the present circumstances, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today inspects some selective vegetable and other essential commodity selling centres of the district where he took review whether all the requisite advisories especially maintaining social distancing are followed in view of pandemic COVID-19 outbreak.
On the occasion, DC took a detailed appraisal of the situation during which he emphasized to strictly adhere to the relevant guidelines so that the risk is mitigated.
Speaking on the occasion, DC assured that the distribution of all the essential commodities shall be streamlined for which a mechanism has been formulated. He said that, under the formulated plan, the essentials shall be delivered at the peoples door steps for which the services of PRIs and some volunteers shall be utilized.
Meanwhile, Dr Itoo warned all such persons who had some sort of travel history within or outside the J&K, to come forward and reveal the same otherwise strict legal action shall be initiated against all those who are concealing their travel histories. He also added that administration has already constituted surveillance teams who are well aware about the details of such persons.
