‘Stranded Kashmiris in other states must be evacuated’

SRINAGAR, MARCH 29: Senior leader of Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) & the constituency head of Kokernag, Syed Towqeer Ahmad, has expressed concern over growing cases of COVID-19, in the valley, and requested state administration to make efforts for the safety of people in Kokernag area of Anantnag district.
While talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Syed said that there is dire need to take make concrete efforts here in Kokernag Anantnag, to safeguard the people here from the deadly coronavirus.
He said that government should also ensure free food distribution among the poor and needy people in the said constituency, “so that they may not face any kind of inconveniences during the ongoing lockdown.”
Besides that, he requested goverment to evacuate all the Kashmiris who are stuck in other states of the country.
“Many people including students continue to stuck in other states of India, where they face hardships on daily basis. Authorities should ensure their evacuation soon,” Syed said.kns
