_Directions issued to explore feasibility of a Dedicated Receiving Station for Medical college_

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Aijaz today directed the authorities of Government Medical College Baramulla to provide qualitative and efficient patient care services to the people adding that public convenience should be the top most priority viz-a-viz discharging public duties.

The Deputy Commissioner made these remarks during his maiden visit to GMC Baramulla where he took stock of health and medicare facilities being provided to the patients.

On the occasion, DC was appraised by Medical Superintendent Dr Syed Masood about various health and medicare facilities besides giving a brief account of other facilities available in the hospital.

After taking a thorough review of various necessities, DC directed the concerned authorities not to left any stone unturned for ensuring public convenience. He directed for establishing special counters for senior citizens and specially abled persons and said that any kind of laxity won’t be tolerated. He also directed to explore modalities for establishing lift system in the hospital.

The DC also interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about various facilities being provided to them during which they demanded that all the requisite facilities should be provided in a hassle free manner.

With regard to providing the Reliable power supply to Distt Hospital/GMC,DC directed the concerned authorities to conduct a joint survey for the 33/11KV Rec station or 33kv/ 440V substation which ever is feasible as per the requirement in the institution.
