SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 05 :

A residential house of Block Development Council Chairperson, Singhpora Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla was attacked by a mob on Thursday evening.

Muhammad Hussain, who is son of incumbent BDC Singhpora Hajira Begum while speaking to News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) said that on Thursday evening a group of atleast 20 vehicle bound people attacked their house.

He said “In the incident, all our glasses, window panes of the house were vandalised”.

He said after the villagers came to their rescue only then the attackers fled leaving behind a vehicle which was later on seized by police party from Police Post Nowgam.

“This is not the first attack we were earlier attacked twice by the miscreants whom we have identified and the police is also well aware about it”, he added.

Meanwhile, efforts to contact Division Officer Nowgam didn’t materialise.
