Rock slide triggered by heavy rains blocked Uri- Kaman Post highway, Beacon authorities cleared the road to ensure smooth travel

Uri, Feb 28: Heavy rains and snow triggered massive rock slide which blocked highway near Kaman Post in frontier sector Uri Baramulla however, Beacon authorities on acted swiftly to ensure smooth passage to travellers and traffic.
Officiating Commander (OC) 53 RCC said that early morning commuters faced huge rock slide triggered by heavy rains and snow which blocked on National highway near Uroosa Kamapost in Uri Baramulla.
“On receipt of information,the maintenance team and the road clearance team was immediately rushed on the site  which carried out clearance of the strategically important road link upto LOC was connected
” Heavy rock slide was removed and  from road using mechanical equipment and manual resources to ensure smooth traffic movement”, the official said.
