BUDGAM MARCH 28 :

Police in Budgam have arrested five persons involved in illegal excavation and transportation of Sand/ Clay and also seized 05 vehicles.

A police party from Police Station Budgam intercepted five tippers loaded with illegally extracted. The drivers have been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar resident of Bonihma, Sahil Ahmed Sofi resident of Hajibagh, Syed Mudasir resident of Wagipora, Tanver Ahmed Rather resident of Waterwani and Bashir Ahmed Rather resident of Kursoo Padsahibagh Srinagar. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Budgam where they remain in custody. All vehicles used in the commission of the crime have also been seized.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 64/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in illegal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
