Tehsildar Baramulla and Assistant Director FCS & CA led the market checking teams

Baramulla, April 15: Amid rains, acting upon the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Bhupinder Kumar to put strict vigil on traders more especially on those dealing with the sale of mutton/chicken, an intensified inspection drive cum market checking was conducted on Thursday in Baramulla which aimed to check the supply and stock position of essential commodities in the wake of holy month of Ramadhan.
During the inspection drive, 15 Chicken shops were sealed for violating the govt notified rules and regulations. 
Tehsildar Baramulla Safiya Abdullah flanked by Assistant Director FCS & CA Sheikh Tariq Ahmad  and team of officals conducted the extensive market checking.
They have warned all the traders and other shopkeepers to abide by the requisite rules and regulations. He said that any kind of laxity won’t be tolerated in the larger public interest adding that strict legal action shall be taken against the violators of govt notified norms and regulations.
It is worth here to mention that, govt has fixed the of mutton as Rs 535/kg without offal and Rs 490/kg with 100 grams of offal. Similarly, Rs 125 was fixed for 1 kg of boiler chicken, Rs 79/kg for layer chicken and Rs 110/kg for parent chicken.
