Baramulla: People of Uri has urged civil administration and health authorities to set up online medical facilitation centres on WhatsApp for people of border areas so that doctors and health authorities could easily respond to Covid related health issues and doctors can prescribe medicine online.

 “There are various border villages in frontier Uri sector of Baramulla district where people have to travel to Uri town to avail medical facilities and consultation of doctors. We want authorities including Uri and Boniyar should set up multi-window medical facilitation centres at Uri and Boniyar headquarters,” said a social activist of Uri Naveed Bhakityar.

He added that the online centres wherein doctors and administrators should respond to phone calls  and  WhatsApp queries about Covid  and other health issues, advise patients, prescribe medicines, send ambulances & arrange for admission in hospitals. This is need of hour,” he added.

There are villages like Churanda,Kamalkote Bihjama.Triknjan Nambla  and other village in Uri sector where from people contact doctors via social media platforms and phone calls.
