Cycle expedition flagged off from Kaman Post, medical camp held at Isham

Baramulla: Amid surge in Covid-19 pendemic crises, Border Roads Organization Beacon’s 53 RCC kick started a Covid awareness campaign in north Kashmir’s Uri sector in Baramulla district.

The awareness campaign begin with flagging off a cycle expedition which started from Kaman Post upto Project Beacon HQ Srinagar and reached its first destination at Mohura Headquarters of Beacon٫ said an official informed۔

He informed that the aim of the expedition was to create awareness about safeguarding measures against Covid pendemic among villagers and urbanites enroute. 


“The Covid awareness drive commenced at 9 am from Kaman Post giving out the message to the general public to stay safe by using masks, sanitizers and social distancing and other precautions to fight the pendemic,” said the official.

He further said that expedition first hault was at Red Bridge, Isham village wherein a medical Camp was organised by the medical team of 53 RCC in which number of masks, sanitizers were distributed among locals of border village Isham and Nova.
Medicos motivated people to fight Covid virus with maintaining proper social distancing,ensuring use of masks ,sanitizers and personnel hygiene was promoted,he said.


As per the officials the expedition will reached Mohura Beacon Headquarters where one road safety seminar would be organized tomorrow and the cycle expedition will progress to Srinagar from there with their motto of Covid awareness
