Former Union Minister Prof Saif Ud Din Soz said on Tuesday contested the remarks of Vice President Vankaiah Naidu on Kashmir saying that Kashmiris have right to say whatever they to say on Kashmir.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Television Network (KTN) on Tuesday Soz said “I think Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will concede our right to say something on Kashmir.If that right is granted, then we would like to say that it was wrong on the part of Govt. of India to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution of India unilaterally. That action on the part of Govt. of India was unconstitutional”.
Stating that “the fact is well known to those who care to read the Constitution of India carefully, Article 370 was incorporated in the Constitution of India, when a constitutional relationship was being worked out between J&K State and the Union of India”, Sox in his statement said “the simple fact is that Govt. of India had no right to abrogate Article 370 unilaterally.
Saying that” people of the Jammu and Kashmir State have every right to raise their voice against the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India. We shall, therefore, continue to raise our voice!”, Soz further said ” Venkaiah Naidu would weigh in his mind whether he was entitled to say that nobody has any right to say anything on Kashmir.”

رمضان کا تعارفی خطبہ
آپ علیہ السلام نے منبر پر تشریف لا کر فرمایا: اے لوگو! تم پر ایک عظیم اور مبارک مہینہ سایہ فگن ہونے والا ہے،ایسا مہینہ ہے جس میں ایک ایسی رات ہے جو ایک ہزار مہینوں سے بڑھ کر ہے اللّہ نے اس مہینے کے دنوں کا روزہ فرض اور راتوں کے عبادت نفل قرار دی ہے، جو آدمی اس مہینے میں ایک نیک عمل کے ذریعے قربِ خداوندی کا طالب ہو وہ ایسا ہے جیسے دیگر مہینوں میں فرض عمل کرے اور جو آدمی کوئی فرض بجا لائے وہ ایسا ہے جیسے دیگر مہینوں میں ستر فرض ادا کرے، اور حضور نے فرمایا یہ صبر کا مہینہ ہے اور صبر کا بدلہ جنت ہے یہ لوگوں کے ساتھ حسنِ سلوک و خیرخواہی کا مہینہ ہے اس مہینے میں مومن کا رزق بڑھا دیا جاتا ہے، جو آدمی اس مبارک مہینے میں کسی روزہ دار کو افطار کرائے اس کے گناہ معاف کر دیئے جاتے ہیں اسے جہنم سے آزادی کا پروانہ مل جاتا ہے اور روزہ دار کے ثواب میں کمی کئے بغیر افطار کرانے والے کو بھی اس کے بقدر اجر سے نوازا جاتا ہے۔ حضور علیہ السلام کی یہ بات سن کر صحابہ نے عرض کیا اللہ کے رسول ہم میں سے ہر آدمی اپنے اندر اتنی وسعت نہیں رہ پاتا کہ وہ دوسرے کو افطار کرائے اور اس کے ثواب سے کامیابی حاصل کرے اس سوال پر رحمتِ عالم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے جان نثاروں کو ایسا جواب دیا جس سے ان کی مایوسی خوشیوں میں بدل گئی آپ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالی یہ انعام ہر شخص پر فرماتے ہیں جو کسی بھی روزے دار کو ایک گھونٹ دودھ، ایک عدد کھجور، حتی کہ ایک گھونٹ پانی پینا کر بھی افطار کرا دے ہاں جو شخص روزے دار کو پیٹ بھر کھلائے تو اللہ رب العزت اسے قیامت کے دن میرے حوضِ کوثر سے ایسا پانی پلائیں گے جس کے بعد کبھی پیاس نہ لگے گی تا آن کہ وہ جنت میں داخل جنت میں ہمیشہ کے لئے داخل ہو جائے گا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا یہ ایسا مہینہ ہے جس کا پہلا عشرہ رحمت، دوسرا عشرہ مغفرت اور آخری عشرہ جہنم سے آزادی کا ہے جو آدمی اس مہینے میں اپنے غلام کے بوجھ کو ہلکا کردے تواللہ جل شانہ اس مغفرت فرماتے ہیں اور آگ سے آزادی دیتے ہیں۔ اے لوگو! اس مہینے میں چار چیزوں کی کثرت رکھا کرو (١)کلمہ طیبہ لا الہ الاللہ (٢)استغفار (٣) جنت کی طلب (٤)آگ سے پناہ۔(مشکوۃ)
امتِ مسلمہ پر پانچ خصوصی عنایتیں
حضور صلی علیہ وسلم نے یہ بھی فرمایا کہ میری امت پر پانچ خصوصی عنایتیں اللہ رب العزت نے فرمائی ہیں (١)روزہ دار کے منہ کی بو اللہ کے نزدیک مشک سے زیادہ پسندیدہ ہے (٢)ان کے لیے سمندر کی مچھلیاں افطار کے وقت تک استغفار کرتی رہتی ہیں(٣) اور اللہ تعالی ہر روز اپنی جنت کو آراستہ کر کے فرماتے ہیں کہ عنقریب میرے نیک بندے دنیا کی مشقت اپنے اوپر سے پھینک کر تیری طرف آئیں گے(٤) اور سرکش شیطان رمضان میں قید کر دئیے جاتے ہیں جس کی وجہ سے وہ رمضان کے زمانے میں ان برائیوں تک نہیں پہنچتے جن برائیوں کی طرف غیرِ رمضان میں پہنچ جاتے ہیں(٥) رمضان کی آخری رات میں ان کے لیے مغفرت کا فیصلہ کیا جاتا ہے آپ علیہ السلام سے پوچھا گیا کیا یہ مغفرت شبِ مقدر میں ہوتی ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا نہیں! بلکہ دستور یہ ہے کہ کام ختم ہونے پر مزدور کو پوری اجرت سے نوازا جاتا ہے۔(مسند احمد.الترغیب)
رمضان میں گناہوں کی بخشش
حضور نے فرمایا (من صام رمضان ایمانا واحتسابا غفر لہ ماتقدم من ذنبہ الخ) جو شخص رمضان کا روزہ ایمان اور طلبِ ثواب کی نیت سے رکھے اس کے پچھلے گناہ معاف کر دیئے جاتے ہیں اور جو آدمی ایمان اور اخلاص کے ساتھ رمضان میں عبادت کرے اس کے گزشتہ معاصی معاف کر دیئے جاتے ہیں اسی طرح جو آدمی شب قدر میں ایمان اور احتساب کے ساتھ مشغولِ عبادت رہے اس کے بھی پچھلے گناہ معاف کر دیئے جاتے ہیں(بخاری و مسلم)
رمضان المبارک میں خیر کی توفیق
حضور صلی علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا جب رمضان کی پہلی رات ہوتی ہے تو شیاطین اور سرکش جنات قید کر دیے جاتے ہیں اور جہنم کے سب دروازے بند کر دئیے جاتے ہیں ان میں سے کوئی بھی دروازہ نہیں کھولا جاتا اور جنت کے سب دروازے کھول دیے جاتے ہیں ان میں سے کوئی دروازہ بند نہیں کیا جاتا اور ایک آواز لگانے والا آواز دیتا ہے کہ اے خیر کے طلبگار! آگے بڑھ اور اے برائی کا ارادہ کرنے والے پیچھے ہٹ،اور اللہ تعالی کے لیے بہت سے لوگ جہنم سے آزاد ہوتے ہیں اور یہ معاملہ ہر رات میں ہوتا رہتا ہے(ترمذی)
رمضان کے استقبال میں جنت کی سجاوٹ
رمضان کے استقبال میں حضور نے فرمائیے جنت کو شروع سال سے اگلے سال تک سجایا جاتا ہے پھر جب رمضان کا پہلا دن ہوتا ہے تو ایک مخصوص ہوا عرش خداوندی کے نیچے سے جنت کے درختوں سے گزرتی ہوئی پتوں سے گزرتی ہوئی خوبصورت آنکھوں والی حوروں تک پہنچتی ہے تو وہ عرض کرتی ہیں اے پروردگار! ہمارے لئے اپنے بندوں میں سے ایسے جوڑے منتخب فرما جن سے ہماری آنکھوں کو ٹھنڈک نصیب ہوں اور ان کو ہمارے ذریعہ سے آنکھوں کا چین نصیب ہو(مشکوۃ)
رمضان میں لاکھوں افراد کی جہنم سے خلاصی
حضور اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالی رمضان المبارک کی ہر رات میں چھ لاکھ لوگوں کو جہنم سے آزاد فرماتے ہیں اور جب آخری رات ہوتی ہے تو گزشتہ آزاد شدہ لوگوں کے بقدر لوگ آزاد کئے جاتے ہیں(شعب الایمان للبیہقی)
رمضان کے روزہ کی تلافی ممکن نہیں
حضور نے فرمایا جو شخص رمضان کے دن کا روزہ بغیر کسی عذر اور بیماری کے چھوڑ دے تو زمانے بھر کا روزہ رکھنا بھی اس کی تلافی نہیں کر سکتا اگرچہ وہ روزہ رکھتا ہے۔(ترمذی) اس حدیث سے واضح ہوا کہ رمضان المبارک کا ایک ایک لمحہ اس قدر قیمتی اور انمول ہے کہ اس کی تلافی پوری زندگی کی عبادت سے بھی نہیں ہوسکتی اس کے باوجود جو شخص ماہ رمضان کے روزے سے محروم رہے اس سے بڑا محروم اور کون ہو سکتا ہے۔ اللّہ ہم سب کو عمل کرنے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے۔امین

Uri, April 12: With just a day left for Ramadan, residents of border town Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla Monday complained about unavailability of broiler chicken in the market.
Locals in Uri said broiler chicken is not available to them for the last two weeks. “It has completely disappeared from the market,” said Rashid Ahmad, a local.
A shopkeeper in Uri who runs a chicken shop laments the high rates for not purchasing the chicken from the poultry farms.
“As per the government instruction, chicken should be sold at Rs 125 per kg but recently Uri admin allowed shopkeepers to sell it at Rs 135 per kg after a meeting between Uri admin and chicken dealers,” he said.
However, he said that the poultry farm owners are selling it at Rs 150. “Why would one purchase at such a high price,” he said.
He said the administration was not taking any action against poultry farm owners.
“For the last two weeks not a single vehicle loaded which broiler chicken has come to Uri from Baramulla which has created the issues over the rates,” he complained.
Reports reaching here said that some shopkeepers in nexus with poultry farm owners are selling the broiler chicken at Rs 180 per kg in Uri market and the administration is acting as mute spectator.
Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Baramulla Tariq Ahmad saidthat they have already received several complaints about the overcharging by poultry owners. “We have warned them and are now going to take strict action against these poultry farm owners,” he said.
He said in the next two days broiler chicken supply will be available in markets as per government rates.

Professor Qayyum Hussain, a renowned scientist and academician Monday took over charge as Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Srinagar.
During the handover takeover ceremony Hussain was warmly welcomed by VC University of Kashmir and former VC CUS, Professor Talat Ahmad.
While addressing an introductory cum welcome meet with different heads and principals of various CUS affiliated colleges, Prof. Hussain vowed for the promotion of the education sector.
He said that implementation of new education policy and boosting of educational facilities in Kashmir shall remain one among his prime objectives.
Prof. Hussain said that focus shall be given on the promotion of education, sports, cultural and literary activities in the region.
He stressed on laying special focus on starting job oriented courses at all affiliated colleges besides asking all college heads of CUS administration to explore possibilities on providing Ph.D courses to the aspiring students.
He called for making all affiliated colleges as sources of vast knowledge and hubs for research work besides emphasizing on improving on the level of rankings to prove as one among the best education systems across the country.
At the outset, Prof. Talat said that under the table guidance and supervision of Prof. Hussain the CUS shall go up to conquer the goal of promoting the education sector and will get more and more new big projects for development of educational infrastructure.
He extended his support and stated that the University of Kashmir shall assist CUS on every agenda to make its mark.
Registrar, CUS, Dr Khurshid Ahmad and Dean Academic Affairs, Yasmeena Ashai also spoke on the occasion stating that the 36 years of vast teaching and research experience of Prof. Hussain shall boost and diversify further the existing education system in J&K.
Baramulla:Baramulla Traders Federation along with senior officers of Roads & Buildings Department visited different markets of town Baramulla to asses the conditions of roads, bridges and footpaths.
The officers included, Executive Engineer Baramulla, Assistant Executive Engineer Baramulla, JE Main, JE headquarters. The officers were briefed by the members of Federation about the condition of roads of the markets especially the condition of main cement bridge besides the absence of footpaths, dividers and other amenities in the town.
The officers assured federation that all these works will be included in the plan and works will be taken up shortly. On the occasion, federation secretary Er Tariq Ahmad Mughloo expressed thanks and gratitude to all the officers especially executive engineer for visiting different places to take first hand account of the works himself.
Administration in Budgam on Monday sealed a school and imposed Rs 30000 as penalty after it was found open in violation of the government order in wake of the continuing covid-19 rise.
“I Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza (IAS), District Magistrate Budgam, in exercise of powers vested to me under section 144 of the Cr.PC, section 34 of National Disaster Management Act, 2005 do hereby order the closure of (Shah-I-Hamdan) till further orders, besides imposition of penalty to the tune of Rs. 30000 (thirty thousand only) for violating SOPs/guidelines,” reads an order, a copy of which lies with GNS.
The Deputy Commissioner ordered Tehsildar Budgam to close the premises immediately and report him the compliance.
The order followed amid complaints that Shah-I- Hamdan Educational Institute Khumani Chowk Bemina Budgam was conducting physical classes in violation of the government’s directions.
The Deputy Commissioner had ordered Chief Education Officer Budgam to ascertain the facts who later inspected the institution and found normal class work was going on in the school.
“The act of school administration may have serious ramifications, as COVID-19 infection has not been controlled and Government has strictly directed that normal school work shall not be operated as the young kids are among the vulnerable groups,” the Deputy Commissioner underlined , adding, “the act of school administration has been perceived as sabotage of efforts of District Administration in controlling the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and sealing of the premises was found necessary in order to safeguard the precious lives.” (GNS)

Former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that the accession between J&K and Union of India has been trashed in 2019 by the BJP led regime at the Centre. She also appealed to youth in the Valley to stay away from gun culture and fight for their rights in democratic way.
Addressing a gathering during membership drive here in Srinagar, Mehbooba as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the decision taken by the central government on August 05, 2019 is not acceptable and the rights and identity snatched from the people here must be restored. “Those who have turned Jammu and Kashmir into a jail must bear in mind that we don’t accept the decision taken by the government. We will fight for our rights till our last breath. Even if a journalist speaks anything, he is being called and subsequently booked under UAPA,” she said.
“It is not Pakistan but India who had given us the special status. I don’t understand why BJP is getting angry why I am asking my country to restore the identity and special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The government has put an end to the agreement between J&K and Union of India, but still it is the people of J&K who are holding the hand of India. And when we raise any objection, we are being asked to stay calm,” she said, adding that the situation in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh is very critical.
She added that PDP has always played a role in ensuring peace in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that the party’s aim is to make J&K a bridge for peace in South Asia and want J&K to become a model of peace in South Asia. “As SAARC summit is set to be held in Pakistan, we hope our Prime Minister will go there as there is no other way besides dialogue to resolve the issues,” she added.
Talking to media persons on the sidelines of the function, Mehbooba said that any movement with guns is bound to fail, saying that this is why she has been appealing to the Kashmiri youth not to lose their lives due to bullets. “If we want to resolve the Kashmir issue, we need to follow democratic way and force the twin neighboring countries including India and Pakistan to hold dialogue,” she said.
“Some people want Kashmiri youth to pick up arms to show the world that they (Kashmiris) are terrorists and there are no issues with them, thus we need to follow democratic means to resolve our issues,” she said.
Asked about silence in PAGD, Mehbooba as per KNO Correspondent said that the conglomerate has a great role to play, saying that PAGD is still intact. “If PAGD is not there then who will talk about the issues of J&K people. Dr Farooq Abdullah’s health condition was not good, thus no meeting was held so far,” she said.
About the delimitation process in J&K, Mehbooba said that the central government will always try to keep the power of J&K into their hands so that they can take any decision vis-à-vis UT directly from Delhi. She said the central government wants to execute their decisions without the interference of local government here, and thus don’t want elections to be conducted soon—(KNO)
Srinagar, April 12, 2021: The Meteorological department has predicted mostly dry weather till Wednesday and another wet spell from April 14 evening.
Director Meteorological Department Kashmir, Sonam Lotus said that after the spell of rain on Sunday, the weather will remain “mostly dry” till Wednesday evening.
No forecast of any severe weather till 14th April. Expect another spell of light to moderate rain, thunderstorm, and snowfall over higher reaches during 14 night till 15 April,” Lotus said. As per the official, popular ski resort Gulmarg received 7 mm fresh rainfall till 5.30 pm on Sunday. Srinagar and Pahalgam received 5 mm of rainfall each. The minimum temperatures dropped across Kashmir as summer capital Srinagar on Saturday night recorded 6.4 degrees Celsius. However, ski-resort Gulmarg recorded 0.1 degrees while Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded 0.9 degrees on Saturday night, MeT data said.
Resolved long pending road dispute of two villages
Uri: 10 April 2021 A prolonged dispute on road from last five years has been successfully solved between two villages with kind efforts of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Bupinder Kumar and Uri Administration.
A meeting has been organised between two villages of the villagers, JKNC vice president North kashmir Dr sajad Shafi uri, DDC chairman Uri,Sarpanch, Panches Garkote, Nambla, officer from uri administration, PMGSY Departmemt and senior citizens of both villages. both the parties aggried on the assurence of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla.
Mean while JKNC President north kashmir Dr sajad shafi Uri in his statement told that we don’t want blood shed in the said two villages
Dr Sajad Shafi thanked Deputy commissioner Baramulla Bupinder Kumar whose kind efforts this long pending demand has been solved and crores of rupees has been saved from some personal vested intrested persons and Road to Ganie Mohalla ,Kaller Mohalla Garkote is already taken by PMGSY Department and work is going on warfooting basis.
