URI, 2 FEBRUARY :

In the wake of bird flu threat looming large in some areas of J&K, several crows were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Sub Divisin Uri.

Crows were found dead in villages Bilal Abad Garkote, Nambla and Madya Kamalkote , triggering panic among locals.

The inhabitants of these villages have requested to DC Baramulla and SDM Uri to instruc the concerned department to send the teams to the villages to ascertain the cause of deaths crows.

Dr Tahir Gani Banday Animal Husbandry department Uri told we have send teams to the area and collect the dead crows.

He appealed people to bury the dead crows properly if any one found in the areas.
